Also, keep them under 7k, thats also and unofficial limit to keep the forums moving at a brisk pace

Download Microsoft GIF Animator <a href="http://www3.sympatico.ca/corey.reynolds/files/gifsetup.exe" target="_blank">here</a>. Basically you just make a GIF for each frame, then use GIF animator to put them together. Then you can play with the timing between frames. Make sure you check "repeat animation" and also make sure you select all the frames before changing the timing or you'll only change the timing for the currently selected frame. Once you have your GIF made up, get a program called SuperGIF which will optimize the size of your animated GIF.
