ASDL plug connection size
Hi all,I`ve recently had an ADSL line installed and wanted to entend the line to another room with a spur can anybody tell me the corrct plug/socket size for the outlet and were they can be obtained in the UK ?
It looks the same size as the cable end that normally plugs into the back of an internal modem not RJ11 as per BT standard phone outlets.
Addendum:
I think I`m onto something here.......are they RJ12`s by any chance?

can,t say exact (as i hav,nt use them) But I would think the best place for you (as u are in UK) ,,would be maplins either there website at www.maplin.co.uk (which is not an easy site to navigate around) or there shops on the high st.
you can buy addaptors ie, american , uk ,,so you may be able to make a "custom" designated BT outlet in your second location
good luck

Archer, I think you should read your agreement with BTOpenworld.. they installed and own the equipment, if you move it or "extend" it you may be breaking your agreement
You would be better off networking two computers and sharing the connection...

Thanks for the replies,I think the easiest solution ,as suggested is just to install a network extension to my present hub rather than faff about with unconventional extension boxes.
