Longest span of time away from family?
For those of you that are in a serious relationship, are married or have children, what is the longest amount of time that you have spent away from them?

Twice a year I go off-road racing for a weekend. So, I've really only been away from the wife and kid for 2 and a half days at a time.
Even then I still take the cell phone so my wife could call, so that helps too.

I was shipped out to Colorado Springs for 2 weeks of training and 1.5 weeks of "ride alongs" before MorticiaAdams and I got married.
So, it was almost a month we were away from each other.

In all truthfullness, the longest I have been away from my wife since we've been married is about 12-18 hours. We pretty much try to spend whatever time possible together. If I'm doing something and she is not and she wants to, she comes along and vice versa... It's kinda nice because I know she supports me in anything I do.

Away from the kids, about 2 days max.
Away from my wife, 1 day.
Our first date was a good indication of things to come. We spent 48 hours straight with each other just getting acquainted.
