Scanning Problems
Have a scanner that worked fine in win2k.
I now use xp pro. When I scan something it comes out in different shades of greens and very faint.
Is this a problem with XP?

Probably driver issues if it worked before the upgrade. Give us some more info and I'm sure we can help you with it.
What kind of scanner is it?
USB, parallel, SCSI?
What driver version are you running?
Is it compatable with XP? <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/catalog/wcbody.asp?subid=22&catid=5c77b84b-8d3a-4df7-b0f6-5b818581a426" target="_blank">CHECK HERE!</a>

Might not hurt to completely uninstall the scanner, and see if XP has the drivers for it, I have a UMAX Scsi scanner and it required nothing being installed, it just works under Winxp, and paint (or whatever program you might prefer, personnaly I prefer adobe photodeluxe) (Umax software wasnt compatible with XP, so Umax on there web site has a list of supported scanners that XP already supports.) Not sure if this applies to you, but its worth a shot.

You might have to get the latest driver from the Tiny [Time]site if they provide them as Time seem to be missing XP drivers at the momment. Then again it could be a sign that the scanner light source colour temperature is at fault and may well be on its way out.
