Tray Icons
How do I get rid of the "Windows Messenger" & "Safely Remove Hardware" tray icons?

You could simply hide them. Start>Settings>Traybar and Start Menu>Customize and always hide.

if you want, you can uninstall MSN... there is a thread here somewhere that will tell you how to do it, has for the safely remove items, without hiding, i have yet to figure out.

goto start>run
type in
msconfig
click the startup tab
then uncheck msmsgs
click apply then close then reboot
