[RESOLVED] XP Glide problems.

Hello,
I am having problems with my 3dfx voodoo 5 under XP. XP picked up the drivers fine, but when i try to play Hitman: codename 47, it won't start. I looks like it will start if I choose Direct3D, but then it just goes back to the desktop, if I choose Glide, it tells me it can't fine glide.dll( or maybe 3dfxglide.dll) IF i install the windows 2000 drivers, it ruduces me to 800x600 and 4-bit color. I know that 3dfx is no more, but do you think there will be a fix for this? I really don't want to buy a new video card, but it seems like it is either that, or I go back to win 2000? Any suggestions???

you will need to find the Voodoo5 hacked drivers for XP to enable glide. Although XP has it's own drivers for them, they are only for the standard 2D work.

There is a link though for these drivers on one of my recent posts, I would find it again , but I haven't got time at present (getting married in the morning and sneaking a few minutes to get online quickly b4 she realises )
