NTFS: Should I Convert?

Yes. It provides more security and it tends to run a little bit faster (in my opinion).

The security is good - so good you won't be able to access your 'My Docs' if you reinstall the OS without a great deal of care....

The only real question you need to ask is will you need to access the partition from another OS that does not support NTFS (ie: win9x) this would only be if you are duel booting. If not by all means convert it, the NT file system is faster and much less susceptible to corruption. And as said before, it is very secure.

I also find NTFS to be faster and more secure, but a FYI there are some cracked copyies of XP floating around that will not alow NTFS formats, I ran in to it with a customer that couldn't get it to convert, and we finaly got it out that. it was a copy he got from a guy he works with. that was cracked, we but on a good copy and it worked great!

Firemonkey, was that a good cracked version or a legal version purchased by the customer copy? It looks like you are saying out right that you install illegal copies of software on customers computers.
