modem connect but explorer wont surf
hi,
i have a clinet which 2 modems installed into his computer, 1 is isdn and the other is simple 28K.
a week ago his system was hit by chernovyl virus and the mtx virus.
i removed the viruses, but after that (and also before that), i connect to the net using a modem, it verifying user andd pass, and then it connects, but the explorer could not enter any site, like a modem is not connected.
please help

Also check to make sure that your DNS server setting are in order. I have found that when a customer says that they cannot get on the Internet, what they mean is their DNS numbers are not configured properly.

You also want to go into IE properties and make sure you are set to "always dial my default connection" plus in some cases I have seen where you can just redo the dialer and it will surf.
