[RESOLVED] Problem with WinXP Pro Update
Hi there, hope somebody has any ideas on this problem... just installed WinXP Pro on a new system, and everything is working fine. However, when I tried Windows Update something interesting happened... when it checked for available updates, it only got to 50% and then would stop. It seems almost like it can't continue to load the website... FYI already checked the internet security settings. Any ideas? Thanks!

I've had a similar problem getting to the WindowsXP site for the past three days. I emailed MS and haven't received a reply. Anybody else with XP able to run the Win Update web page properly?

I keep getting an error that the update software did not upload properly. Just installed NAV2002 though so It may have something to do with that.

I'm having a problem with WinXP's Windows Update too , seems to be the same thing - it only get's to 50% when checking for updates. Here's the error reported by IE...
Line: 148
Char: 5
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method
Code: 0
URL: http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
Tried fooling around with Norton Antivirus 2002, no effect... still trying things but any new ideas would be appreciated!

Ran LiveUpdate for Norton 2002 last night, and after that Windows Update works fine... looks like Norton may have been the problem all along and now they fixed it! Try to update Norton 2002 if you have it Panoramic...
