    Post Network Place Problem

I have several XP Machines here. This problem seems to occur on more than one machine. Opening MY Network Places results in on of the following things happening,

My network places, view, arrange icons by network location and show in groups, opens almost instantly.

My network places, view, arrange icons by computer and show in groups selected, takes approximately 15 minutes to open.

Logging off and logging on as another user with the same network places view settings (arrange icons by computer and show in groups)takes approximately 1 minute to open.

Does anyone have any idea as to what is causing this problem or any information as to where I might go for a solution?

Asus MBs, AMD Athlon CPUs, Netgear FA310 cards, WinXP Pro. These seem to be the only things that the machines have in common. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Are you running mixed protocols? Are any setup to auth from a DHCP server?
I'd prune everything down to just TCP and static IP's.

Thanks for the reply. I did remove all but TCP/IP. Unfortunatly I have a print server that requires IPX to function. I did have NETBUI because I also have a Win98 machine that was using that for file and print sharing. Funny that the machines that were upgraded to XP worked ok with Netbui installed but the ones with fresh installs took forever (up to 15 minutes)to load the network drives. Anyways, again thanks for the reply.
