Got XP...What Drivers do i install???
I just bought XP today. Mainly because my old OSs wont support my latest hardware purchase & I got a BUNCH of FREE hardware crap to go with it.
My question is very simple. I dont think I want to install the MoBo drivers that came with my MoBo because its like 2 years old..maybe 3. It has an AMD chipset 750 series. I couldnt find Win XP/AGP mini port drivers on the AMD website. Shuttle has much less to offer.
If there are no official Win XP drivers for a piece of hardware (this could be anything)...then what drivers should I try to install? If XP evolved from the NT model....should I try 2000 drivers?
I havnt gottin started yet...so I may find what I need in XP. Question my be premature.

Thanks Darren
After all the poblems ive had in the past....Ive been too paranoid about problems that "MIGHT" come up.
How would I veryfy that XP loaded suitable AGP miniport drivers (for 750 chipset)?

"If it dont crash"...does not mean that the full potential of my AGP is being utilized.
"If shuttle offers XP drivers".....I dont see the phrase "Windows XP" in the AMD or Shuttle downloads. AMD/Microsoft should colaborate to release 750 chipset AGP miniport drivers for XP. I think Shuttle would simply provide the same AMD drivers. Of course this isnt anyones fault but AMD/MS.
Is there a means of verifying that my AGP is being exploited fully?
Maybe a benchmark or a simple systems check?
