    Post Windows Messenger Remote Assistance

    All-

I am attempting to use the Remote Assistance feature of Windows Messenger. I have a cable connection shared between 2 PC's on a Linksys Router (Befsr41 to be specific) I am attempting to help my cousin out who also has a cable modem (no router, firewall software etc.), we are both running XP Pro. He sends me the invite to help him out and I accept, it starts to attempt a connection and it just sits there trying to connect. Has anyone tried this successfully? What is the typical connect time? Does anyone have the Linksys Router and had this work successfully. If so, are there any specific ports that need to be opened? I have already tried making PC the DMZ host, but this didn't help.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
