With Intel's own software you could have the processor run at full speed even on battery and that was done under power management settings.
I ask this because I just put in BurninTest on my computer to test it to make sure it ran from a floppy and it detected my system running at 733 instead of 1gig. 733 is the actual speed the computer runs at when on battery, I don't know why Intel says 700. So, does anyone know if it is possible to check the speedstep settings?

I had step speed on my PIII 600 and as soon as I installed XP pro that was gone, and I haven't found any integraded software yet. But thats a huge drop in speed 1ghz to 733- I go from 600 to 500.
