Product Activation Question....

I do a lot of full reinstalls of the operating system (once every 2 months), to keep my system running smooth, if I activate windows in November and reinstall WindowsXP in January, the system will think that I have not activated before will I be able to activate as normal without any problems?

As long as you don't change your hardware you should be fine. When you activate, you activate over the internet, and they compare your activation code to your computer generated key in their database. As long as your hardware dosn't change too much, you should be fine.


Now, here's a question. What if someone changed a lot of their hardware between installs? What would product activation do then?

I have done 4 reinstalls within a month , I only changed my CPU
I have reactivated 4 times with no problem, I have to quit experimenting
