Unhappy FrontPage2k/Access 2k data access pages with pivot tables

I am working on a department intranet site in which I want to use pivot tables in a web page to access info from an access 2000 .mdb. The database is c:\inetpub\wwwroot\fpdb\contacts.mdb and is published locally to <a href="http://webserver." target="_blank">http://webserver.</a> When I try to open the data access page containing the pivot table from any machine other than where the site was created, I get an error that it is not a valid path and I must be connected to the server where the file resides.

This database is published locally to <a href="http://webserver," target="_blank">http://webserver,</a> so why does the other pc look to its own hard drive?

If I use an odbc connection, I can view info from the pivot table, but I cannot submit any info (from a feedback form) to this database.

    THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

[Running FrontPage 2000 and Access 2000 sp2 on a Windows 2000 machine (pII 450mhz, 192mb) with sp2; using IIS 5.0 and personal web server with fp server extensions]

My problem is this: I cannot use pivot tables from another computer unless it is connected through odbc. But if I connect through odbc, my forms do not enter the info into the database like they are supposed to. Is there a way to get around this?

Using an ODBC connection gives you access to the database, but it does not do the underlying updates to the data like access will do.
You need to write the code that will update the changes when you submit them.
Have a search for some ASP/ODBC tutorials with a search engine to get you started.
