insomnicatpc.com for review
Hey guys,
Could you take a look at my site and tell me what you think. I have been working on it for a while. About 5% of the pages are not done yet.

What, no Canadian offices?!
Nice and streamlined site. I like what you've got up there so far - and those boxes look mighty impressive!

I tried adding one of them to my cart and I got a ton of JavaScript errors...I'm on IE5, BTW.
I wasn't planning on buying one (I already have a custom machine...specs in sig) but I was just pointing that out.
Very nice looking site, what font is that on your logo?
I personally also think LitterBox is not a good name for a low end system. Makes it seem like it's not good at all.

I would consider changing the name of the "litter box" to something else becuase some may view it as being a "junk" machine even though they are clearly nice machines, other than that nice clean, professional layout

Ok, don't want to be cruel, but you did ask.
It looks waaaaayyyy too much like the Alienware.com site. You have nameed your PCs in the same fashion as Alienware. The Thundercats logo is a blatent rip-off. And as said before, the "Litterbox" name is terrible. No 800 number either.
Ok, now that I have ripped it, your prices are quite good (comparing to Alienware anyway), but I would be worried that this domain has only been around since October, and you have not reserved the .net .org or other possible domains, this tells me that you do not take your bussiness seriouslly.
Again sorry to sound harsh, but these are real problems that your site has.

Oh one more thing, you have even managed to borrow a similar line from Alienware.com:
"Don't forget to visit our homepage for greatest Gaming PCs ever made! "

First off, his site looks nothing like the Alienware site. Secondly, their naming scheme is not at all similar to Alienware. I fail to see the similarity between 'Topcat' and 'Aurora DDR'. Please enlighten me. Also, Alienware has not registered Alienware.net or Alienware.org, do you think that Alienware is not taking their business seriously too?
Two of your other points are semi-valid.
The litter box is a pretty crappy name, he needs to change it.
He should get an toll free number as soon as he can.
Overall, I think the site is aesthetically pleasing and quite functional. Your prices are very competitive but keep in mind that your overhead will grow as your company grows. You may need to raise the average price per PC at a future date. Good job and good luck with you site.
Oh yeah, you should have a support page. You may have one already, but I didn't see the link.

As for Alienware not reserving .net .org, ect. I think that is a serious mistake on there part also.
The naming thing I was talking about, well. I, personally, have not seen too many other PC distributors using a theme for PC names. Alienware has there area 51, ect. You have your Alley cat, ect.
I am not saying the site sucks. I was pointing out some flaws that it does have. That's all.
And as for not buying from there, I usually get opinions from other techs I know and my own research. That is why I pointed out the Domain registration was only from October. I would consider this before I did any purchase. I do my homework before buying.
Again, please don't be offended, I was not flaming him, just giving my opinion.
PS, I used spell check before I posted!

Flabooble!
I hate to say it but I really, really thought I was on alienwares' site when I first clicked. I was thinking - why is this in site review before I read that this was your page. Sorry, it's a damn sweet looking site though. Everything else is fine for me, though I did not try to order anything to check on the java errors.
One thing I noticed is the naming for the PC's is interesting but you may want to name them all something positive. Alley and house cat do not inspire and most folks are fairly "dull of wit" and catchy names will sell the extra PC for you - I know it's damn sad... Maybe a naming scheme with lions and tigers and stuff like that. The lion being the high end and the bobcat being the low end. Dunno, it's up to you.
