Patch for Access 97 to read Access 2000
Anyone know of a patch that will allow a machine running Access 97 to view databases created in Access 2000?

Export your Access 2000 DB to a DbaseIII or something Both Access 97 and 2000 should be able to read it.
Why would you want to do that though?

My organization has a site license for Office 97, which is what is on all of the machines. My laptop came with Office 2000 Pro. This is what I have been using to create a database that I want to put in use. At the time, it was said that we were upgrading to Office 2000, but it has now been put off. So, you see my prob? Any suggestions would be welcome.

Will your company spare a license for your laptop? Then you could make '97 Databases on your laptop.
Have you tried exporting your DBase in different formats?

What? A 97 license? Got plenty of them. Got a 2000 license for the laptop as well. I already have a database created from Access 2000. I do not want to rebuild it in 97. Is there a way to have 2000 convert it back to 97 format? I know the other progs in the office suite can do this, but have failed to see the capability in Access.
