Post Selective Printing in ACCESS 2000

I am trying to migrate from a dbase IV package developed years ago to ACCESS 2K for material requisition. I describe the package in brief and then my query.

I generate material requisition, each requision bearing a unique no. It may contain one or more items. Then I have to print the requisition, again each requision separate as per the req. no. I have created a report form in ACCESS.

My problem now is, how do I select the record either by using a dialogue box or otherwise, so that upon inputting the req. no. & clicking OK, I get a prontout of the requisition, containing items bearing that req. no. only. I do not wich users to create query or filter everytime by themselves, as I want my juniors to use the package. This job must be accomplished by Access, as I wished above.

Can anyone suggest way out, give some URL's of places where I find data, or suggest book which deal with this specific problem.

I am currently using 'Mastering ACCESS 2000' by Alan Simpson & Celeste Robinson. ISBN 81-7656-093-6

    Thanks in advance.

Make a select query, add all the fields from all the tables you require, state any relationships beteween fields/tables. In the Req no. field use syntax for criteria =[enter requisition number for print-out] (or whatever).

View the table this produces, if it's what you want, tie a report to this query. Good luck
