    Unhappy Outlook 2000

    Hi Guys,
I run MSO2k on an exchange server. You have the ability from MS Word to type something, choose file, send to, mail recipient and off it goes to Outlook to be sent.
Most of my users can do this, some of them cannot. The error message is "Unspecified MAPI error"
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the world.
    Any ideas :-)

    Thanks
    Tom

more than likely you installed another program that is using the Windows messaging service, thus your mapi32.dll is being used or getting corrupted. I have seen this problem after installing voice recognition software and a few others. MS "claims" that Office XP will solve all these problems. I solved the problem by unistalling Office 2k then installing office 97 and upgrading.

Have you tried replacing the mapi32.dll file from the CD? That has solved many of my Outlook problems in the past. That file seems to corrupt if you look at it the wrong way...

I tried renaming all the MAPI files and reinstalling Outlook through the Setup Maintenance Program............now I get Mapi spooling errors.
