problem viewing public folder
User is using Outlook 2000 as a client on Exchange 5.5. I am the owner of a public folder he needs to view. When he clicks on it, he gets a gray screen with the message "unable to display folder". All the other users with permissions to see this folder have no trouble and view it successfully. This specific user can even see the subfolders. Just the parent folder.
I tried removing him from the access list and giving him new permissions. Didn't help. I even made him an owner of the folder. He still cannot view it.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Rafi

If I read this right. it's almost certainly a permissions problem
Giving Users permissions is much more difficult than giving groups permissions and adding users to groups. Under NTFS, the scurity is applied at the highest level, so if you give Joe Bloggs permission to access c:\my mail\public folder, but not to c:\ or to\ my mail the connection will fail
I would check this out first
Good luck!
