Post HELP!!! urgent help needed NOW - Word will not save my work!!!

Okay, trying to save my 14 page document which is due tomorrow and all of a sudden I get this:

    Microsoft Word

! The disk is full or too many files are open.

Okay... I double check and I have 18 GB left on the disk. Nothing unusual is running in Task Manager, and all I have going in the systray is Norton and ZoneAlarm. It also won't save to a floppy disk.

After disabling Norton, I get this:

! The disk is full trying to write to C::. Free some space on this drive, or save the document on another disk.
Try one or more of the following:
*Close any unneeded documents, programs, and windows.
*Save the document on another disk.

Attempting to save it to the D: drive, which is also not open, I get the first error message again.

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaalp!!!! ANyone seen this before, please respond soon! I cannot afford to lose this work.

hmm, copy the text out and into wordpad or notepad? or if the clipboard is installed, save it into a .clp file and paste it back in after restart?

Boy how much I have had of those messages. Finally I found the culprit: a corrupted object, or a drawing, or a formula created with equation editor, or a hidden field.

Try this. Cut one paragraph from the bottom of the document and try to save. If not successful, past it back and cut the paragraph before it. Try to save. Keep doing this until you pin the corrupted paragrah, or its content.

    Sich you good luck.

    THANK YOU.

It is one of the graphs in my Word document. Deleting it allows me to save again.

    OLÉ!

Object linked embedding - suggest you might want a re-install of office/word as well to stop it happening again. Worth 30 seconds.....

I did that confus. Many times. Neither it helped nor it is practical.

I found one way to minimize the chance of happening, create you object in a blank document, then copy and past.
