Access 2000- Control for Form
I've created a database for asset management in Access 2000. I have a list of assets (computers) and a list of software that is used in the company. I want to select which software is installed on any given computer.
I want to do this by seeing a list of all available progams, selecting an application, clicking add, and having it appear in a box on the right. Access itself uses this type of form in its wizards, but I cannot figure out how to duplicate it. Help, please!
PS- I am experiencing another problem, my database will only search through a few records at a time. I want it to search all the records at once. Thanks!

I think you could do this by creating a list box and use the wizard. You can specify the field on which the box is based, i.e. you can choose from the list of softwares available, and then in last step of the wizard you can select against which field in your table this selection is stored. This field can be the box on the right. You can make the list box control so small horizontaloly, that only the drop down arrow is visible and available for clicking.
I think this would solve this problem, as I too worked on the inventory module recently, to select an item already present in the table. I did it the above way.
Do keep posted.
