Just installed netmeeting 3.1
Got a creative webcam usb thing working fine.
I want to enable video in netmeeting byt all boxes are greyed out.
First time to try video conferencing.
What am I doing wrong? are there better packages, how do i connect directly to someones email address?

Look under Tools - Options - Video. Under Video Camera Properties, is your cam selected as video capture device? If it's visible in there, the video should work fine.
To call someone, you can either use Netmeeting servers (mostly full of people seeking ... ahem ... adult entertainment) or call someone directly. To do this you need to know their IP address. Netmeeting can tell you your own IP address, click Help - About Netmeeting and your IP is shown there. Get your friend to do that, then tell you the IP, then you can click Call and type in the IP. I use it regularly, video is useable over a modem connection but audio is often choppy.
I think I know just enough to know how much I don't know... I think...
