Question Windows 2000, Dxr-2 PCI card or Trident Image 975 PCI card for TV output...

I have windows 2000 pro dual boot with windows 98. My main video card is the Viper 770 Ultra AGP 32Meg card. I am trying to use one of 2 old PCI cards that I have to output to a TV/VCR to record a VCD MPEG from my PC since my Viper has no TV/NTSC output.
Problem, under Win2000 the Trident card says "Cannot start device: code 10" and does not work at all. Under win98, it appears to work, but freezes the entire system completely whenever I try to go the the adapter properties of the Trident card in Win98.
As for the Dxr-2 card, it works fine under Win98, but under Win2000 using the latest Win2000 drivers/app from CreativeLabs, it installs fine and outputs to the TV for about 2 secs and then the entire system freezes.
No matter what I try, I can't find a solution for either cards under 2000, and the Trident is not working under Win98. So far it looks like I am going to have to get a newer Win2000 designed TV ouput/capture board unless someone has a solution. Any ideas?

Look for a display card with a build in Video Out, and maybe also video in.

Like the Matrox G450 tv, ATI Radeon 64DDR ViVo or one of the Nvidia models. there are so many of them i cant remember the names.

Well, I don't plan on replacing my main 32Meg TNT2 card anytime soon, I will upgrade my motherboard the CPU before I upgrade my 4x AGP 32Meg video card.
Since I am having so much trouble with these secondary cards, I will just get either the Miro DC10 or DC20. The DC10 is only $99 and is a great PCI video editing/capture/output board. Too bad there is no help on the 2 cards I already have. Oh well.

TV display and capture cards are allways making problems.
the only way i know is to play with them.
try diferant pci slot's, diferant driver version, difrant order of install and such.
