Low volume on speaker phone
I have a Progen Notebook computer with LT Microelectronics 56K voice/fax/data modem and BitWare software. The speakerphone volume is barely audible, even with all volume controls set to max. All other audio functions work properly.
I checked Progen’s site for new drivers. However, my drivers, ver 1.61, are more recent than the ones at Progen.

Have you tried increasing the volume under Modem Properties?
To get to it, go to Start | Settings | Control Panel, then double-click the Modems icon. Select your modem and then click the Properties button. You should see a slider for speaker volume. Try increasing this and see if it helps. It did with my external modem...
Please let me know if this helps...

The modem speaker volume is set at high. However, it has no affect on the speakerphone volume. My modem is built into my notebook. The modem does not have a speaker. All audio is, or should be, directed to the computer speakers.
