I found an excelent tool made by SolarWinds, They have a demo toolkit for download on their website. This thing does everything! Although it is expensive, its nice to use. (Maybe my comp will get it, I can only hope ) Well hope that helps!

    Cool

    I use <a href="http://www.gfi.com/languard/lanscan.htm" target="_blank">LANGuard's scanner</a> for basic scanning on a LAN.

Are you looking to use this on a LAN, a WAN or the Internet?

    Check out <a href="http://www.neworder.box.sk/codebox.links.php?&key=portsc" target="_blank">New Order</a> for a vast selection of tools.

I found this ip scanner to work very will. I detected all the systems running IIS so we could uninstall it

It will scan one ip or a range of ips

    <a href="http://www.angryziber.com/ipscan/" target="_blank">http://www.angryziber.com/ipscan/</a>

    very fast and small

    Short description

Angry IP scanner is a very fast IP scanner for Windows. It can scan IPs in any range, even 1.1.1.1 to 255.255.255.255. Its binary file size is very small compared to other IP scanners. I've seen good, fast and small TCP port scanners, but not IP scanners (and not freeware). Angry IP scanner simply pings each IP address to check if it's alive, then optionally it is resolving hostname and tries to connect at specified in Options dialog box TCP port.

It also has additional features, like NetBIOS information (computer name, workgroup name, currently loggen in user and MAC address), results saving to CSV or TXT file, can be used as a command-line utility in a batch file, etc.

It is using separate threads for each scanned address to increase scanning speed. Also Scans Ports

It is free, so use it at your own risk. I am not responsible for anything you do using this program

    ----

Scanned 255 systems in 24 secs

    Thank you all!
as though solar Winds product is delicious - Its too expensive to even consider.
I would go on IP-Tools from Ks-Soft, as Chris MacMahon suggested.

Again, Thank you for your assitance.
    Gabriel
