MS Security Toolkit
I finally received the FREE toolkit I ordered a month ago HERE It's pretty cool and walks you through the various patches and lockdowns for NT, 2k and 2k server. It's pretty comprehensive and self explanatory, a bit of a surprise by MS standards. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who uses these OS'es...
p.s. I'm not an MS schill, I just really appreciate how greatly this tool simplifies this facet of my job, how effective it is will remain to be seen. But it's a start...

I just tried - but got redirected to MS UK with no obvious link to the toolkit - a search turned up no likely results either. You wouldn't have the url for uk ordering would you pls?

They seem to have lost/withdrawn the link somewhere it was straight forward when I ordered mine. You may have to e-mail them to point you in the right direction http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?LN=EN-GB

Flabooble!
I just got mine!!! It was fairly anticlimactic though. It just installs updates. Of course this is exactily what keeps people from running exploits on you so I guess it did help. I'm happy.

I read this morning they're coming out with a consumer version next month, and looking into selling their 'services' in the security field. Isn't that a joke. One group of programmers leaves holes for another group to make money fixing....Typical Microsquish....

Sounds Interesting! The online MS Security Advisor however does the OS checking part which the the article discussed, any improvement to that tool will be good. Good luck to MS in getting "home" users to download this tool.
