so you have that user that forgot their password..
So you know there is software out there, where you can recover your lost passwords of of a hd on a local drive or via a network. this is where you can get it <a href="http://www.lopht.com/research/lc3/index.html" target="_blank">http://www.lopht.com/research/lc3/index.html</a>
these are some of the best security guys around!

Yeah - these guys have their $h!+ together. Old skool hackers that went hell bent towards the security industry.
Still - I have found a great deal of "cracking" tools and have used them to help the users get password back from documents they protected and then needed to access later. If you do a search on dogpile you'll find all sorts of little tools that you might be able to help users with.
