Post wondering if this is secure enough under XP

Hi i'm runnign XP now and i'm a bit uncertain of my privacy and security. I turned off the MS integrated firewall ( i heard bad stuff about the MS firewall). I'm in a local LAN and i got DSL intrnet access. I installed zonealarm (the free version). My local lan connection is using only IPX/SPx and Netbeui, and my DSL is using TCP/IP only. By setting the MS binding strategy that i found on www.grc.com my LAN and my DSL are using seperate protocols..

Being a bit paranoid, is this setup ok u guys think ??
If it aint broken dont fix it..I should realy start doing that

Yea I would say thats good. Try trimming off services that you dont need, that is always a good security practise read here for that. And run the security advisor from MS, which is here. Oh and a virus scanner thats up to date

As asked for here's the MS protocol binding strategy page on GRC's site

http://grc.com/su-bondage.htm

The whole document is really nice, this is just chapter 5 of the whole article...
