3com Modem... Does it exist, or am I goin nutz?
I have a 3com modem here... I believe it's an OEM modem. But I have no way to tell... It's PCI which leads me to believe it's a winmodem. There is one identifying barcode sticker on the modem with what looks to be a serial number... and or model number...
this is it...

If someone could give me some help getting an ID on this thing so I can DL some drivers I would appreciate it.

The model number will be a 4 digit string somewhere in that long number. My initial guess would be 6689, since a lot of USR/3Com modems begin with 66. Go the the 3Com driver site. If you look hard enough the drivers are almost always there, unless you happen to want Win2K drivers.

Go to www.3com.com and download thier product code and upgrade installer, it's pretty much automatic.
