Opti Viper motherboard won't take Pentium properly
I have an Opti Viper motherboard and I put a 166 processor in it. However, when I set the board for 66.6Mhz and 2.5x, the computer doesn't boot up. Instead I get a checksum error. The closest I can get is 120 (60Mhz and 2x).
It has an Award BIOS. How can I get the board to take the processor correctly? I'm pretty much stumpped.
Thanks for the help.
If you need any more info, let me know.
