Dial Up Networking Problems
Have two machines this week exhibit the same problem in Win 98 DUN. When trying to connect to the internet, get DUN errors 629 and/or 645. Looked up these errors at 56k.com and tried all fixes posted there, none worked. Also removed and reinstalled, Dial-up networking, TCP/IP, the modem and one machine got Windows reinstalled. Still doesn't work. However, when I put a new interet connection with another provider,(on the notebook) it dialed. One is a Dell Latitude notebook with a 3Com PC card modem and the other a desktop with a HSP integrated micro modem. Email replies are welcome. No new hardware or software installed to corrupt any drivers.
