    Post Modem identification

I need help identifying a particular modem. I've used up most of my resources, and don't have time to dig much further.

The card in question is a PCI Plug-n-Play with a Conexant(Rockwell) chipset. I'm not sure about the speed, manufacturer, or model. There is a serial number of 109405-0648631. On the mounting bracket there is a small sticker that reads "Industry Canada" (shows a pic of a Canadian flag also) with the number 2983 9880 A below it. On the back is an FCC sticker, although I don't recognize any FCC number on that sticker. There is a large number that I believe is a model number, at the top of the FCC sticker...MW560CI. At teh bottom of the FCC sticker is the number A99-0182JP. The only other number on the FCC sticker is 5CRKOR-25848-M5-E. I tried this number to do an FCC search, but came up with nothing. I tried the A99 number with the same results. I know I have seen the sticker with the Canadian flag before, but it has been to long. If anybody knows of a manufacturer, model or speed of this modem, please let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

Take the number off the Conextant chip and match it with the info on this site , should do it for you. http://members.cnx.net/reboot/modems/#ati3

Industry Canada maintains a list of manufacturers. If there is a sticker on the modem, they will be able to tell you who made it. Unfortunately there is/was no website with search capabilities. You will have to contact them by email. The last, first, and only time I sent off an inquiry to them, it took a week or so for a response.

I don't remember which of the contact links I chose.

    Good luck.

Rkring1, your link did the trick.

While I didn't find a manufacturer or model, I did find a possible driver, and at least I'm sure know that it's 56K.

    Thanks everybody.
