stuck on verifying password

Hello,

I'm helping someone correct an issue their having with connecting to their isp. About three weeks ago he started hanging on verifying password when he tried to connect. We were able to verify that it is a problem with his computer because he can log on with the same account on another computer. He has Windows 98 SE with a 56k sporters modem. I'm thinking I should have him reinstall DUN and TCP/IP and update his modem drivers. Does this sound right, or should I try something else?

Sounds like your on the right track, just remember that once you've removed DUN and TCP/IP, reboot the computer before reinstalling.
