Post Microprose Grand Prix 2 and TNT 64

Well, I give up.

The display on this card when in dos is dark. Simple you say, lighten the gamma, - that dont stick when running in dos...

I need some ideas, I have tried various drivers - the older ones are very slightly better than the latest ones, but the screen is still dark. The monitor brightness cannot be turned up any further.

Its also dark in windows 98se in 256 colours - and again gamma correction is not available in this mode.

My kids are bugging me, hubby is bugging me, all because I cannot find a way to turn up the brightness!!!

Someone take pity and tell me what the hell to try next!
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

ummm

im not sure if all monitors have this but i ran into a few monitors and tvs where you can pop them open and there is a little nob you turn and it makes the screen brighter.

like i said im not sure if they all have this.

i also ran into some 3d card tweaks that let you make the screen brighter you can find some at www.3dfxfiles.com

Absolute Zero - yes obviously I tried turning up the brightness on the monitor... and the tweaks at 3dfx are for specific games like Q1 and Q2. The rivatuner also doesn't seem to allow for general turning up of brightness in dos mode... unless someone knows something I missed.

I have RTFM'd till I am blue in the face. It's beginning to look like I have to put my ATI 7200 in there, which I really don't want to do.
