Possible fixes:

Unload any software firewalls you may have running (Black Ice, Zone Alarm, etc.).

If using Win98 - Sorry to say it, but you may have fallen into the "dark pit of ID despair". I had 3 ID techs working on this and I resolved the issue by installing Win2000 instead. Re-installing TCP/IP (twice) and formating the HD (once ) did not help.

I got the same problem I had to uninstall Q3 then reinstall it, then put the patch on. It worked after that.

I could never get the servers when I load Q3, but if I load the team arena version, I can see all the servers, and when I go into the Milenko, it just loads up the regular Q3...

Plau around with the game selection settings. Your Q3 may be set for "network" play instead of "Internet".

Can't recall the settings off-hand, but it's worth a check. Set them up the same as they are in Q3TA.

Also, make sure that your network settings in Q3 reflect your current setup (broadband, 56K, etc.).
