    Pioneer 116 dvd drive not working

    I have a Pioneer 116 dvd drive, and im runing windows xp. I am using windvd 4. I THINK its windvd 4 causing my problem of the DVD drive not recognizign what cd is in it. It will only recognize the name of a cd under my computer when the cd is when the drive when i boot the system. anyone else have the same problem?

    ok, have you got the original windvd discs? if so, uninstall, reboot and see if the drive works, if so, re-install WinDVD and see if the error occurs again,

    I personally havent had any problems with WinDVD 4, but i usually use Power DVD anyhow.
