I want out of NC within the year!!!!
Guess who just announced his campaign for the Republican nomination for Governor of NC?
Ric Flair!!!!
Yes, the Nature Boy himself wants to be Gov. I just heard him in a interview on the local news.
The scary thing is that he holds an MBA and people are actually taking him seriously.
What's next? Stone Cold Steve Austin for Senate? The ROCK for President?
When is the insanity going to end???

Well, why not? You've got Jesse Ventura in MN. I'm originally from NC and I've met the Nature Boy. He's from Charlotte and very popular, so i could probably see him running for governor

Wasn't Ronald Regan the guy next to the Michael Jackson's Date in a lot of 'B' movies...?
I'm still not certain which one the Monkey actually was...

Aint nothing wrong with Ric Flair running for govenor. As so Todo mentioned, Jesse Ventura did and it sounded like he didnt do too bad of a job.

Yep, other than having foot-in-mouth disease, The Body did a pretty good job. Too bad he's not running for a second term, as I would vote for him again.

Flabooble!
So? He could run for Gov. in PA and I assure you he'd be a hell of a lot better than who we have now and especially who we are going to get soon.
NC is making me jealous now.

Re: I want out of NC within the year!!!!
tell ya the truth, I think Ventura was a great gov. He had a big mouth, did want the people wanted, not what the speical groups wanted. Its a nice change.
Besides, is there something wrong with being an entertainer? Granted, I don't watch the stuff, but so what? If he wants to be in, so be it, let him run. If the people want him to be gov they'll elect him.

I couldnt agree more King! In fact I have five more weeks and I will be outta this state (for good I hope). While Rick Flair might not be bad (we would have to see if it happened) I lifetime of embarrasment from living in the state that Jesse Helms represents is bad enough to make me want out, even if he is finally retireing. As a musician I have always detested uncle jesse and his ways. the sooner im not linked to that the better. Theres alot of other reasons Im leaving but those rink right up there.

I'm also an NCer. I think it's pretty funny. He'll never make it, though.

Didn't Hulk Hogan legitamately consider running for the presidency a few years ago? Makes me glad he doesn't have Canadian citizenship.
