Os?
Just out of curiosity, which OS brand do you prefer in a PDA, Palm OS or MS WinCE / Pocket PC OS?
Why?
I'm not asking it to turn into a debate like Intel Vs. AMD, just looking for imput .
Thanx!

I voted for palm. I think that my reason was price at the time I bought it. I haven't had any experience with ppc 2002 so I can't say whether I like it or not.

Another vote for PalmOS.
Since I use a PDA (Palm m100), and not a PocketPC, I want a faster OS with no bells, whistles and bright flashing lights. It foes what I need it for and then some. My favorite apps on there are Acrobat Reader, Desktop To Go (syncs with OutlookXP), AvantGo (news channels and such) and a few games.
My choice came mostly from the fact that I worked in a medical environment before and physicians/pharmacists use PalmOS devices almost exclusively.
Now, if I was in the market for a PocketPC to help me continue working in a bind, then Pocket Windows would be my choice.
Currently, there are more applications available for the PalmOS platform, but if you'd like to find a recognizable Word, Excel or Outlook interface in color, Pocket Windows would be the way to go.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. -Douglas Adams

Here's a vote for Pocket PC. I got a Compaq 3850 for my one year anniversary. Much more versatile than Palm, from what I've seen, though of course a bit less stable. I mainly just use mine for the NES emulator though so don't take just my word for it.
Personally I like Windows and I like the Windows-like design. 'Tis true.
