VIA chipsets, ON-board AC'97 Codecs and Soundblaster live 1024's in XP
OK,
VIA chipset, I have disabled the onboard codec, installed my soundblaster live and it crackles, installed the VIA 4in1's a little better but the crackling is still there, any ideas??

Ditch the SB Live!
Give me a £ for every SB Live related prob ive seen (esp. on VIA) and id be driving that TVR my wife wants........
Sometimes doing the PCI slot/IRQ shuffle works, but usually I replace it.

Is your computer installed as ACPI system or Standard PC ?
please add system specs and IRQ listing.

working now, disabled ACPI reinstalled XP, thakns Noo Noo.
