    Jurassic Park???

    http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/08/21/c...oth/index.html

    My thougs are:

I really hope they take into concideration that when they were alive the Earth's atmosphere was about 20% oxygen, now its only about 7% at most....

Poor things in the first batch, they'll suffocate!

If they do manage to pull it off, then I doubt that their metabolism would appreciate the current environment.

It's my humble opinion that humans co-existed with sauropods in the past (no flames please - PM me if you want to debate this), so this would be like reverting the process of extinction.

    I want a dodo bird!

Mere humans playing with the power of God, with no idea of the effects their actions will have on the way of things, and no understanding of the power which they wield like a childs toy.

You'd have better luck with a Dodo bird!

    Sauropods??

My wife believes modern man co-existed with cro-magnon man. We adapted better, and we probably wiped them out, too...

I guess I'm abusing the term sauropod by having it mean dinosaurs in general.

    Sorry 'bout that.

Ay. Even though I'm not religious, I know creationists tend to believe that dinos existed alongside man.

Personally, I believe it's possible. There's a lot of stuff we don't know about our own world, even in it's current state. With everything from dragons existing in medieval & asian "myths" & culture to current cryptozoolical creatures like Nessie & Mokele'Mbembe being sighted by credible witness, along with the discovery of fossilized human remains in the same layers of strata as dinosaur bones...it's hard to say. And science can only speculate & hypothesize. Just cuz they say dinos haven't been around for 65 million years, doesn't mean they're right.

Oh yeah, and you also can't forget the drawings & markings on some aztec & incan cave drawings & pottery depicting man riding on & using dinosaur looking creatures as beasts of burden...made LONG before any human being should've known what a "dinosaur" was...

If they clone enough of them, will they serve them between a bun? I can't wait. Cloneburger with fries, there goes my diet.

You'll probably like this and this then.

I looked up this particular site as it appeared less "religious" at first glance.
