Resolved [RESOLVED] HP DeskJet 842C problem

My printer works fine, except when I first turn it on the lights blink and it spits out a blank sheet of paper. It never fails it does this every single time I turn it on. I have already tried unplugging the power to it and then plugging it back in, but it still does the blinking. The only thing that helps is if I turn it on and then back off again, and then back on, then it is fine. What can I do to cure this? It's too goofy for me

This sounds like a driver issue. Have you installed the latest drivers from HP? You can download them from http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindex...046_swen.html. I'd remove the old drivers first, then install new ones...

Thanks. This is just what I thought it was I wonder if someone will ever make a driver work right the first time around!
    Thanks again

I wanted to say that *LMAO*!!

The strange thing about the blinking lights is that it will only do this if I do not have the printer turn on at the same time as the computer turns on, but if I don't have it turned on at the same time as the computer is turned on, and I turn it on manually, it will do the thing with the lights....phew! I hope I explained everything.
