    random arranging of desktop icons (driving me nuts)

    OK this one has be stumped. I've looked in win.ini, tried every variation on the arrange icons menu (auto on and off) but my desktop icons still continue to arrange themselves completely randomly on the desktop, it's doing my head in!
    any ideas? I've even tried using the folder options in explorer with no luck

    Thanks for the help lads, but I found the problem was the new Matrox G400 max drivers. I've no idea why but the instant I uninstalled them and used older ones my desktop sorted itself out.

    I did a virus check anyway just to be safe though
