[RESOLVED] OS2 Printers and Drivers

I have been assigned the painful task of finding a midrange inkjet printer (I would prefer to use HP) that is compatible with OS2.

To date a laborious search of several sites and help requests from suppliers has turned up nothing but a HP Laserjet 5L. Can anyone suggest some suitable (available) printer models and/or driver locations for OS2.

Hi,

Most of HP's DeskJets have several drivers to choose from. An example if for the DeskJet 690C referenced below:

All the way at the bottom of the page is a driver for Mac OS. Is this what you're looking for?

MAC OS and OS2 are completely different. I have used Hp Laserjet 4,4+,& 4L printers with OS2. All worked fine. But since I haven't worked with OS2 in years, I have no idea about newer printer models and OS2 support. If you can get a Laserjet 4+ in decent condition, use that it will work great. Hope this helps.

I am looking for a new HP mid range printer. Unfortunitely as Mac has stated Mac OS and OS2 are completely different.
