Looks like my scanner gave up the ghost!
I recently moved and just getting around to hookup my Mustek 1200ed flatbed scanner and the light doesn't light up correctly, like a blown fluorestant light bulb. Any comments?

If it's just the light, open the scanner, remove the tube and pay a visit to your local electrical store.Ask them for a fluorescent tube of the same size. Over here in England, these sort of tubes are often found fitted into stuff like bedroom furniture, closets, etc. I've used them to replace blown tubes in Microtek scanners. At about 5 bucks, it's worth a shot ...

I'v done the same with Acer and Microtek SCSI...
