boot order
I made the plunge and bought WinXP Pro and other than some driver issues with onboard AD sound drivers and an AOpen isa modem..... I'm happy with it
prob is I have a dual boot with Win98 and I want it (Win98) to be first on the list. Where the frick is the ini file to change it in XP? Or am I on the wrong track by assuming it is
an ini file?
BTW....if you know where I could find drivers for an AOpen FM56-ITU2_5600 modem (neither the WinNT or Win2000 work) or an Analog Devices AD1816 onboard sound, I'd appreciate it....just typing this I realized I might find the sound drivers at the mobo manufacturers site.
Thanks!

Hey shamus
ok right click my computer, properties, advanced, start up and recovery, click the edit button or choose the default from the drop down.
10.3 drivers for 2k for the isa modem - if they don't work, buy a new modem... sorry.
Info I have dug up says its either a lucent chipset or a rockwell - and is jumpered... in theory you could jumper it to a free com address and install the reference drivers that XP should have....

No offence taken.....I merely meant it wasnt really designed to be that backward compatable, in the usual Microsoft tradition
