[RESOLVED] HP 500C and Windows ME

Hi,

I have a Win ME machine which refuses to print to an older HP 500C DeskJet. I have re-installed the printer several times using the ME installed drivers, yet the installed printer doesn't print anything...testpage, etc.

I don't think it is the printer cable since the printer goes through several self-tests when the attached computer is rebooted.

HP's support site says to use the ME driver for this printer.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

HP's website below lists step-by-step procedures on how to install the DeskJet drivers for WinME:

I've seen that information before on HP's site, however there might be something I'm missing in the steps. I'll try it again.
