    Some of these would be great gag programs. You could use STOP to lock up someone's computer at any given time of day with the Task Scheduler. Or you could use Shutdown to do the same thing. Heck, you could put Shutdown in the start menu and send the user on a constant loop through the rebooting process. Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!

    I heard of someone who did that for the new technicians test, I thought that was kinda harsh....

    I love the idea but I wouldn't run them on a secure machine. There's a good possibility of a magic door in any one or all of those apps.

    And then netstat -a was invented..(sorry.. couldn't resist)



    I'll have to give them a whirl tonight and see exactly what this freeze program does..

    On the last day of my Aplus course the teacher did something to everyones computer while we were at lunch and challenged us to get back on the network. . I could not get the machine back on. i tried everything. Reinstalling everything possible. I guess I should have checked the hub. He disconnected the cable.

    add the line "bootsafe=1" into the msdos.sys file.. even experienced techs have a hard time figuring that one out.
