[RESOLVED] Missing parallel port driver for Windows 2000 professional
I have a clone IBM running Windows 2000 professional. I am unable to find a generic driver for my parallel port and so I can't get my printer to work (HP 720C) any suggestions?

Hi,
Does the port show up in Device Manager? Is the port physically plugged into the motherboard. Sometimes, those little ribbon cables work themselves off.
Once you get the port to show up, HP's website belows gives step-by-step procedures on installing the Win2000 drivers:

Just a couple of suggestions...Good Luck!

I had a similar problem, and what I did to solve it was to set the parallel port's ressources to manual in the computer's bios.
For some reason win2k pro did not see the port when the ressources where set to "auto" in my computer. This particular machine was using a tc430hx board.
