Gateway Parts
I apologize if this is not the correct area to post this question. I am looking for a place to purchase parts for a Gateway PC. I specificaly need the plastice button on the inside of the front cover for a G6-300 but would like to find a reliable source for parts.
Thanks

In the event that your Gateway Technical Support determines you have a defective part within your system, we will provide the necessary replacement parts to fix it. And, if necessary, assistance to replace parts is available at Gateway Depots and Gateway Country Store service centers. To find a store near you, click here and select your state.
Or there are many online Gateway parts places, Such as this one
Good luck!

The button is probably a standard part, just take it to any electronics shop, they'll have another one.

Got it!
The part is not standard and is Gateway only. After 6 people and 45 min. on hold, I finaly got a person at Gateway that knew exactly what I was talking about. The part will be here in 3 or 4 days and they shipped it at NO COST. Thanks for the replies.

It is the right one, he gave me the part numbers and I put them in Google and came up with a site that gave instructions along with pictures of how to replace. Just 2 little plastic parts, and appearently the broken button is a common occurence. The guy knew exactly what had happend.

Damn, I'm a month too late but I was just browsing through... I am a Gateway Techinician at a country store and the power button is a standard part that we know goes bad on a lot of the cases with your design. It is common practice to replace it for free. Let me know if you have any other GW questions.

Good thing you don't need the bracket that connects the power supply to the daughter board on the E-3400 and E-4400. While I was working at the power company we got a bunch of new P4-2.4GHZ rigs to replace these P3-733 to 1000 machines that had a flawed bracket design. Those brackets are no longer available. The power company ordered like 60 of them when the computers were new, because they know those things would end up going bad. They ran through all of them in a little over a year.
BTW, don't buy a used Gateway E-3400 or E-4400.

MUNDO Corp - MUNDO SCAM

Whatever you do -don't use Mundo Corp!!!! Unless you want to be charged for parts you never receive and be told you are lying about never receiving these parts – DO NOT USE Mundo Corp for Gateway parts/repairs!! We are a school district and have several hundred Gateway computers and were referred to Mundo Corp by Gateway for our out of warrantee parts and service.
After dealing with Mundo Corp just 1 time – we were billed for items that they did not ship to us and was charged for new parts for laptops but were mailed back the old defective parts in the laptops and when we contacted Mundo Corp’s repair department, “Kathy” who told us she is the only worker and the supervisor and there is no one higher than her, basically accused us of lying about not receiving the new parts we were charged for and there was nothing she could do because the packing slip said they had been sent and even though we had the old parts in our possession – the moment we received them back from Mundo Corp, that we had probably “switched them” somehow for different parts because those were not the ones that they had shipped.
We have filed a complaint with the BBB as well as notified Gateway about Mundo Corp’s service. Gateway has informed us that another company, KAMCOM also sells Gateway parts and does repairs. We have not tried them yet, but urge anyone who needs Gateway parts and services to not use MUNDO CORP unless you want to be cheated and called a liar!!!!
